Changelogs are often overlooked when it comes to promoting a product or service. However, users tend to check the changelog after every update. Even those who don't use your product or service may be following your changelog for updates they're interested in.

The design of a changelog is important because it, in a sense, promotes your product. Updates should be clearly marked by their dates. The content should be easily readable on mobile devices. It should also provide practical ways for followers to follow along, such as an RSS feed and newsletter subscription.

A changelog is typically written in plain text in a file named CHANGELOG. However, writing it this way is both cumbersome and difficult to translate into a beautiful website. Instead, using Markdown, with its simple yet flexible syntax, makes more sense.
